First Impressions: What to Wear on a Date

I’m a lucky enough guy to have a girl for a best friend. She shares bits of insights with me about women that I otherwise wouldn’t know. One of the best lessons that I’ve learned from her is that what you wear on a date matters. I’ve decided to pass a few of her tips onto you, my online friends, so that you can learn too!

#1 Wear good shoes.
I don’t care if it is a day at the beach or a night on the time, make sure that your footgear is not scuffed, not torn up, and doesn’t resemble anything you would go hiking in.

#2 Buy an iron.
Looking like you rolled out of bed and found the first pair of clean jeans is not going to show her that you put any thought into the night. It makes you look like a slacker, not the successful attorney that you really are.

#3 If it is faded, torn, stained, too tight, or too big; don’t wear it.
You aren’t going to be painting a house, you are going to be taking a very nice girl out to dinner. And I guarantee she is putting thought into what she wears; you might want to reciprocate.

#4 Remember what year it is.
Showing off your personal sense of style is one thing but remember what trends are out there. No man looks good in skinny jeans, and flannel is a no-no, you are not a lumberjack. (And if you are, that is work attire only!)

Just keep in mind that your clothes are what help a chick decide whether or not you are going to get some. And your pants may decide if you have a shot at getting in hers.

Oh, and don’t forget the skip the Superman boxers, it’ll just creep her out.
