First Time Home Buyers Get $8,000 Tax Credit in 2009

First-time home buyers will receive an $8,000 tax credit if they purchase a house between January 1, 2009, and December 31, 2009.  The $8,000 tax credit is for the purchase of a primary residence, must be for a first-time home buyer and is not meant to be re-paid.  This is a credit not a loan and has been created to be an incentive for people who are considering purchasing their first home. The tax credit is to be claimed on the buyer’s tax return and any unused portion will be mailed to the buyer.  The $8,000 tax credit is a fantastic opportunity for those on the fence about purchasing their first home.  This is an opportunity for first home buyers to seize.  Combine the $8,000 tax credit, lower home values and historically low mortgage rates and there is one great real estate opportunity at hand.

If you are interested in looking at real estate 2009 just might be the year.  It is a good idea to find a broker who has the knowledge and experience necessary to help educate you on the real estate market where you would like to buy.  You need a broker who can help you make the most out of your first-time home buyer $8,000 tax credit.

  1. It is a very good offer by the federal government for those who are yet to buy a home. Getting $8,000 tax credit is a big help for the first time home buyer. However, the first time home buyer would not be the most beneficial of this offer; rather the stumbling real estate business would receive a boom thanks to this $8,000 tax credit which the home buyers need to claim on the tax return. Knowing no need to repay it, many people would like to have a home, even though economic recession is just getting aggravated day by day.
