According to recent statistics, email isn’t as much of a dominant online activity as it was just a few years ago. Social networks and other online forums have started to become a bigger part of the online experience. That said, email marketing is still a very powerful and effective means of online marketing.
Here are five email marketing tips to help you achieve your marketing goals:
1) Avoid Filters
For the people on your email list, instruct them to add you to their address book. Doing so will help ensure that your email won’t be lost in the land of the spam filters.
2) Catchy Subject Line
Most people got multiple email messages per day. Make sure your subject line is something more thought provoking than “New Newsletter”.
3) Useful Information
To keep your readers interested in your email messages, make sure that the email messages themselves offer useful information.
4) Keep it Simple
Not everyone wants to receive an HTML email with flash and videos. Instead, just stick to the basic text email.
5) Remain Patient
Email marketing is oftentimes a long-term process. It could very well take months for a would-be customer to decide to give your product or service a try.
As always, be sure that your email isn’t considered spam. Breaking federal laws is never a good marketing ploy.

Nice little refresher list. Although I don’t think too many in the general populace make use of HTML embedded Videos and pictures in E-mail. Attachments or links, but not embedding. Do you believe the majority of society is that tech oriented?
