Five questions with Lindsay Whalen

Lindsay Whalen, Connecticut Sun

The Connecticut Sun have gotten off to a great start this season and Lindsay Whalen is playing a huge part, averaging over 15, 5 and 5 so far. Internet Broadcasting’s David Zingler sits for five questions via KSAT.com.

Q: (The Sun) have gotten off to a great start this year, even with all of the new teammates. What has been the key to your success so far?
A: I think just energy and enthusiasm. Everyone came in and truly wanted to work hard and do the right thing. So, it’s been a good start.

Also briefly talked about is the collapse of the Phoenix Mercury. As I talked about earlier in the season, not having Penny Taylor is going to really hurt the Mercury this season as teams begin to collapse on Diana Taurasi and Cappie Pondexter. I just wonder if (and maybe when) Taylor returns after the Olympics that the Mercury will have enough games remaining to make a run at the playoffs.

no disrespect to Minnesota U but your FLAMBOYANT AND FLASHY STYLE OF PLAY almost makes u like one of the all time greats in the U Conn club w / all of their great players – you play like “Svet” (Svetlana Ambrosimova) and you distribute like Sue Bird and Jen Rizottti and just to go OUTSIDE of the whole U Conn theme u a;so have a little bit of Ticha (Penichero) and Magic

And yore cute as well but Im sure u get told that all of the time si I will put a lid on it – But

No doubt Lindsay – take it from an GUY that played 5 spoRtS which, during my short but career here from Mike’s (Jordan) hometown of Wilmington (NC), i PLAYED THE 2 GUARD / small foward and occassional point,
U @re one of the one of the brighter lights in a WNBA that has been a little bit stagnant as far as level of play goes in the last couple of seasons. U BRING IT EVERY TIME and I felt really SORRY for uwhen u got hurt right at Finals time a season or two ago – VERY HAPPY u came back successfully u bring that Cheryl Miller like excitement and though I may be laying it on A BIT THICK, U DESERVE all the credit in the world especially with all of the TRADE movement – u gotta a great coach over there and I hope u guys can MAKE A RUN

Once again I am trying to start a new wEB AND O R CABLE SHOW based around women’s athletics and I would be HONORED to start with u Ms Whalen and/ or the whole squad and/ or help the team in any way shape or form from filming 2 editing to logostics from city to city to driving, areas that I have experience that I gained both here in Wilmington (NC ) sOUTH Florida, and Western Canada. so if u are interested in any data, the best way to OBTAIN IT IS, despite the fact that Iam e- mailing u guys, is to call (*910) 799 -7018 (leave a message after 3 or 4 rings if Iam not there directly)
and also mail any SUN data / feedback letter (s) @:
