FLDS Moms Launch Conservative Clothing Line

This is kind of hilarious follow-up to Bridget’s post about Nelly’s new Apple Bottom Jeans clothing line, or, more specifically, the video. The women of the recently spotlighted Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS) have launched an online store selling long-sleeved, high-collared outfits for kids. B talked about it yesterday, but I wanted to throw in my $.02, because, hey, that’s what I do.

flds, fundamentalist, church of jesus christ of latter day saints, mormon

I’m guessing that the only customers of FLDSDress.com are going to be other fundamentalist LDS folk, with the possible addition of school groups putting on a performance of Oklahoma! or something like that, or maybe a parent coming down hard on his or her daughter for dressing like a skank. But check it out: Wikipedia says that the FLDS Church has an estimated 10,000 members, and you KNOW those people aren’t shopping at Hollister for their kids’ clothing.

These women have found a niche market and targeted a product line to fill the needs of that niche, needs that are not met anywhere else. If that’s not a recipe for guaranteed business success, I don’t know what is!

What do you think? Will the FLDSDress.com online store prove to be a viable business?

I love listening to Gerald Levert, my favorite CD is father and son. Most of giel song he sing is directed to every female. All women can relate to him and his story he tell in his songs.
This CD father and son builds relationships to single parent, parent having problem with there children and just letting the child know that i will be there for you no matter what. I love you i got your back. Luther Vandross is another favorite you can listen to Luther all day he tired family, love and relationships in everyone of his songs. You can play Luther and not worry about running to the CD to change because the next line has so much cussing in it, just good music. I love that!

Other than the FLDS and Oklahoma wardrobe folks, other clients of theirs could include fathers of teenage girls. Nothing keeps the boys away like puffy sleeves.
