Flight Design CT Gets Ballistic Recovery Systems Parachute

Flight-Design-CtFlight Design has announced that the Flight Design CT aircraft will have the Ballistic Recovery Systems parachutes installed as standard equipment on all of their Light Sport Aircraft in the US.

“Cirrus took a revolutionary step in general aviation when they made the BRS parachute system (CAPS) standard equipment on the SR20 and SR22 aircraft. This same visionary step has been taken by Flight Design by including the BRS as standard equipment on all CT airplanes in the new Special Light Sport Aircraft category,” said Gregg Ellsworth, Director of Air Safety for BRS.

“We have a long history of cooperation as a BRS partner-in-safety so it was natural we would want every CT sold in the USA to have the BRS parachute system as standard,” said Flight Design USA President Tom Peghiny.
