Football for Girls

Earlier this week, I featured LSU’s football clinic for girls, and I got a slew of emails from people telling me that their favorite school has a woman’s football camp too. So, if you aren’t an LSU fan, you can hopefully find one that you enjoy. I’m probably missing some, but here are some of the most popular. If you participate, let me know how it was!

• Texas A&M: Chalk Talk for Women – July 24 (registration deadline is July 18)
• Texas Tech: Football 101 – July 27
• BYU: Women’s Football Clinic – July 31
• Hawaii: Hawaii Wahine Football Clinic – August 21

Of course, some colleges already held their women’s clinics, but check out the programs for next year!

• Michigan: Women’s Football Academy – June 21

I find it interesting that most of these programs are “101″ programs. Now, I know that the vast majority of people don’t run plays on a daily basis, so even a men’s program would have to be somewhat 101…but I hope they aren’t TOO dumbed down!
