Former Lehman CFO will join Credit Suisse

Erin Callan, the recently terminated CFO of Lehman Brothers, will join the ranks of Credit Suisse.
Ms. Callan served as CFO for less than one year and her departure (or should I say, removal) from Lehman’s executive ranks came after the company posted a $2.8 billion loss.
I don’t think her tenure was long enough for her to be blamed for Lehman’s troubles, however she was perhaps the most vocal executive, making several media appearances to assure investors that Lehman was okay. After the company posted a wider than expected loss, disgruntled investors wanted explanations and some called for CEO Richard Fuld to resign.
Instead, Lehman let Ms. Callan go and now she will begin her newly created position as head of the Global Hedge Fund Business at Credit Suisse in September. This is more in line with Ms. Callan’s role at Lehman prior to her brief stint as CFO.
