Thanks for sharing Phil. My company does in fact have aspirations to be a member of the 100 Best however one big obstacle that we see is that fact that we are a large (30k+ employees), dispursed (hundreds of locations nationwide), and highly unionized. Most of the companies I see on the are smaller with "campus style" centralized offices and many of the "perks" they implement would be very difficult for us to do. Your suggestions may be more doable as they are more culture based. Do you have any other advise for us? Thanks

You're welcome Diego! I hope it helps many learn that it's the simplest things that make leadership the best.

Thanks for sharing this Phil. It will never cease to amaze me how the simple things in life are so easily overlooked, yet have such impact.

Thanks Mike!

I agree: even 10% would be more than the zero we typically get now.

Appreciate you sharing your insights! What do YOU think makes a great place to work?

I love your comment about how so many people may have read "Discover Your Strengths" but then how many people actually do it! Perfect.

If people would implement even 25% of what they read and know would help, business would be run a lot better.

Good to read your perspective of a great place...
