Fox Pulls Evidence of Theft from YouTube

As usual, a TV network steals from a YouTuber and then pulls down the evidence. Noah Kalina took a picture of himself every day for six years. He posted the photos as a video with original music by Carly Comando. The video was a hit, and it got parodied by The Simpsons. Trouble is, Fox used Carly’s music without permission. As Kalina writes on his blog:
A few months back a producer from the Simpsons contacted Carly about using her song ‘everyday’ for an upcoming episode in which they were going to parody my video. She was negotiating a rate for the song, until they never got back to her. No fee was agreed on, no contracts signed. She and I both assumed that they were no longer interested in using her song for the show. Last night the episode aired and sure enough her song is part of the show.
What’s up with that?!
I am thrilled that the Simpsons parodied me, but Carly should have been compensated.
In a sad but increasingly common twist of fate, Fox pulled the evidence off YouTube. This is the typical arrogant hypocrisy of television. TV executives steal from online video with impunity, and then call people who post evidence of the theft thieves.

the american tv channels are foxed up all the way.. so i’d say fox the fox tv.. beach..
