FPS Rantings upgraded version: Bioshock edition

I’ll have you soon, Bioshock!I made this entry away from my gaming rig, which by the way, is back. While it was away, I took the time to prepare my aging beast for one more major challenge: Bioshock.Yes, Bioshock has belatedly made its way in our shores, and later still was my PC upgrade to finally run the game I’ve waited years for.

In a matter of minutes, I’ll pay a visit to my local retailer and purchase the game. Bioshock probably won’t look as good, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Update:
The last copy of Bioshock was sold 15 minutes before I showed up. Can you believe that? Now, I have to wait for the retailer to ship the game to that branch.

The vigil is extended.

  1. The Bird Man says:

Sounds like trying to find Bioshock is a lot like trying to find a Wii.

  2. Mike says:

It sure is. Damn thing sold out it a couple of branches.

Is the Wii still difficult to find in North America? That console is a common sight here, it’s easy to take it for granted.

  3. The Bird Man says:

I have a friend who recently purchased the Wii and he had to go to our local EB games several times before he acctually purchased one.

  4. Mike says:

That sounds *ahem* familiar. Like I said, Bioshock gave me the same problems. I wonder if there would be news of Halo 3 shortages.

I have colleagues who have pre-ordered Halo 3, but we still don’t know how crazy it’s going to get here. As for the States, hands down, it’s going to be chaotic.

As chaotic as a new console.
