[In Europe] the average used car owner will pay more than $5,000 for car energy supply for one year – more than the car is worth.
You can get a fancy cellular phone free with a service subscription, so why can’t you get a fancy electric car free with an energy subscription? While fuel was abundant when cars were first introduced, now fuel is the scarcity and cars are abundant. That’s why Shai Agassi hopes to offer free electric cars next year with Project Better Place.
