Anne, I appreciate the work that you do posting jobs for us on a regular basis.

I became a bit distressed when I read the requirement for the first job — $1 for 100 words. Really, is he kidding?

That rate is horrible and I was wondering if you had any minimum price standard for jobs that you list. We’re worth being paid a living wage and if this guy doesn’t pay it, should you list his “possible” opportunity?

I apologize — I’m not telling you what to do, I just don’t see any point sharing something that pays terrible.

Matt, I’ve gotten a ton of negative mail about that… okay, I shouldn’t have published it… shoot… I’m not mad at you, Matt… I’ll do a blog post about it.

Anne, not a problem. I read your post today and just wanted you to know that you are way too young to be my mother!

Yes, it was just one job — I guess I get riled up when someone wants something for nothing. Plus, the requirements for even applying for the low paying gig was humorous. “Yes, I’ll send you a zipped file with some clips as you requested.”

You’ve been through a lot lately. Last night I spent some time channel surfing and discovered how bad the fires are in California. In light of it all, my timing for this complaint was off and I do apologize.

Keep posting the jobs and I hope you make a bundle off of all that you do.
