Fruit + Beer = ?

So I am not one to talk because I am a girl who does not eat fruit (that is a different story, to hear that one you have to visit Not even a… from my blog Iamnotokwiththat). But the thought of flavored beer, got my taste buds tingling. Beer has a pretty unique taste to it, and sometimes, I have to admit, their bubbles make it seem more interesting than it turns out to be ,depending on the brand. Their bubbles remind you of any soda drink, and sometimes, a little extra flavor or sweetness is exactly what you want. So I came across this Raspberry beer that I had never seen before by a new brand called Kawartha Lakes Brewing Co. If you are curious as to where I found this particular brand, I was out with our other fellow Brew Ha-Ha-er’s at Jack Astors. .5% less then the regular beer called Grasshopper Kawartha, but that didn’t bother me because I ended up having more of this flavored stuff than I would have had of their regular beer. I was a huge fan. Not too overpowering where you don’t even taste the beer, but just enough hint of raspberry, to turn it into a refreshing raspberry beer cocktail.
Don’t worry boys, you can try this too, it comes in a tinted orange bottle so one could never see it’s pinkish color. If you are looking for a different style of beer, this is definitely worth a try!

What I hate is when you ask the bartender at Bier Markt for something new and he assumes you’re a stupid girl who doesn’t drink beer and always (ALWAYS) suggests Fruli strawberry beer.
1. Just because I’m a girl doesn’t mean I wouldn’t appreciate an honest and thoughtful response.
2. Fruli strawberry beer is gross.
3. Fruli strawberry beer is not “something” new when the bartender has been recommending it to every girl for a decade.
I don’t know how I feel about flavored beer…German beer, yes - but Raspberry? I’m skeptical…!
