Future Shop Trading HD-DVD Players for $100 Credit, Donates Players to Charity

Earlier the story broke that Circuit City is allowing customers who bought HD-DVD players in the last 90 days to trade it in for a Blu-Ray player minus their old HD-DVD movies that they were now stuck with. Well, Future Shop (Canada’s version of Best Buy) is offering customers the ability to trade in their HD-DVD player bought from anywhere, anytime for $100 off the price of an LG HD-DVD/Blu-Ray player. Granted that doesn’t sound like too much of a good deal, but get this part. Future Shop will donate your old player to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada so it will still be put to a great use. Rock on, Future Shop.
