As I stated in my previous post, Microsoft is continuing to develop their position for how things get done in business and in leisure. Windows Vista definitely expands their reach into entertainment in the home being integrated seamlessly with a productivity tool in the PC.

Gates continues to say that software really is where the “magic” is:

“The software is where the magic is. If you’re going to have all this power be simple enough, appealing enough and cool enough, it’s going to be because the software is right,” Gates said in an interview with Reuters in advance of his address at the largest U.S. electronics show of the year.

Something I was not aware of is that Microsoft has partnered with MTV, which will include their Urge Music Service integrated into the Media Center functionality of Vista. Urge will allow consumers to enjoy 2 million songs and videos in MTV’s library of content.
