Fresh out of GDC comes some good news from Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, who wants us all to know that Nintendo reigns supreme over the other silly little gaming companies who cannot claim the same as them: 50 million consoles shipped worldwide. Take that, Microsoft!

But aside from stuff we already knew and don’t really care about because it doesn’t really affect our lives in any way, here’s the actually interesting news: Zelda is getting another installment, and this time it’s headed straight for the Nintendo DS. The game will be called The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Think: The Phantom Hourglass. A trailer was shown at the conference and will surely be available on the Internets soonish.

In the meantime, here’s some more news from Nintendo: You know that pesky storage problem it has? The one in which … well, it doesn’t have much? Nintendo has decided that maybe it’s time to do something about that, and has announced Wii Menu 4.0. What can you expect from Wii Menu 4.0? Well, this menu will feature the SD Card menu, which will allow users to use higher capacity SD cards. Games can be downloaded to the card and played from it. Hooray!

When will this niftyness be available? Today, my friends. Today. Go check it out!
