In sticking with the sports theme today, the NBA has hooked up with Body By Milk in a campaign aimed at teenagers dubbed “Get Fit by Finals.”

The program launched at an event at NBA All-Star weekend in Phoenix and challenges teenagers to get healthy and fit. The campaign is a joint partnership between the NBA Fit (the league’s health and wellness initiative that promotes healthy lifestyles for children, teens and adults through fitness and nutrition) and “got milk?” Body By Milk.

Led by the advice of NBA sports dieticians, along with NBA and WNBA trainers, the campaign features New Orleans Hornets superstar Chris Paul and Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi. The challenge is for teens to drink milk, stay active and get fit.

To join, teens can log on to bodybymilk.com where they can sign up and see exclusive NBA training videos and Get Fit “Daily Drills”, use an online fitness tracker and much more. They can also download the Get Fit “To Go” widget onto their Facebook, myspace or other social network pages, or to their desktop. The widget has the videos, drills and a link to their Personal Fitness Tracker built in.

Additionally, when joining the Get Fit By Finals Challenge, entrants will receive a special Get Fit rewards package featuring discounts on fitness gear plus the opportunity to many prizes.

Those who show how they’re getting fit using their Personal Fitness Tracker will become eligible to win trips to NBA playoff games and an incredible grand prize of an all-expenses-paid VIP package to the 2009 NBA Finals.

  1. I was doing a really good job and then I hurt my knee and couldn’t run anymore. I’ve taken up walking for the time being, but don’t burn as many cals. It’s going to be tough for a few months.
