Get Off Of The Floor With Your Ab Workout

There is just something about doing ab exercises, whether they are crunches or sit-ups on the floor that seems undesirable to me. Doing sit-ups kind of hurts my tail bone so when I used to do the on the floor I would place a smaller pillow under my butt. These days I either do crunches on my bench or I just use my Ab Straps with my pull-up bar.

The thing about hanging ab straps is that they can be uncomfortable on the arms at times. Sometimes it depends on the brand, but overall it’s more comfortable for some people than doing ab exercises on the floor. Also you can target your obliques a bit better doing hanging leg raises than you can on the floor and it’s less stress and un-natural movement on your spine. With Ab Staps you can do slower movements that you can not really do very well on the floor.
When I bought The Iron Gym I had the offer to get the “Free” ab straps from them by paying the 7 or 8 dollars for shipping and then have to wait to find out what I was getting. Instead I optend to spend 13 more dollars and buy a set of the ab straps made by The Perfect Pull-up from Walmart. They are marketed and branded by the makers of The Perfect Pull-up but they are just like any other Ab Strap. They are padded nicely and are very comfortable to use.
If you’re tired of doing your ab workouts in the horizontal position, give hanging ba straps a try.

I personally love these. My gym acquired a pair about 2 months ago… and I’m hooked.
Great for a change-up in your routine, as well as extremely challenging!
