It is possible to get deep discounts this recession . Indeed, there are plenty of deals to be had. Before this recession ends, you should consider some of the things that are on sale right now . And, while you shouldn’t buy something just for the sake of getting a “good deal” , if you have plans to buy certain things within the next year, you might consider purchasing the following:

• Furniture
• Cars
• Clothing
• Electronics

We actually bought clothing for my son — enough to last two more sizes — during this recession. Clothing is cheap right now, and there are sales almost every weekend . We also bought a deeply discounted car earlier this year. And, while we haven’t done it yet, we are planning on buying a new dining room table. Its on sale at the furniture store where my brother works.

Retailers are concerned that Americans aren’t spending enough, and they are just trying to move merchandise . This means that you are more likely to find some good deals.
