These are the bane of my workout existance, but heck if they don’t work.
The word burpees makes me laugh! Maybe I am too immature. Either way, I will try these. They look tough!
BURPEES KILL ME.
Had to do a whole swack of them this morning at boot camp. But its better to do a really tough exercise than one that’s not challenging enough!
Love these! However one of the worst exercise injuries I have had is because of these so here is my advice- keep your head up while doing these or, like me, you will end up kneeing yourself in the face and giving yourself a bloody nose…
Dude…. Kelly, do you have the password to my Wordpress account or something?? I was just gonna do a video tutorial on these next week!! Arrgghh, you beat me! Hahahha
All the Best,
Andrew R
I love these- thanks for reminding me to add them in!
Ah, these always bring me back to junior high P.E. class, when my best friend and I renamed our teacher “Mr Burpee” because we found the name so hilarious. Also, his real name was Mr Belcher, so it pretty much worked.
FBG- really? i love em! especially if you use a bosu, with the black side up. hold onto the outside rim the entire time so your plank is off balance and then you lift it up over your head when you return to start
Nicole- i had no idea what people were talking about at first, and I saw one and went “oh! squat thrusts!” everyone stared at me like i was nuts.
sagan- they are very bootcamp-esque. right up there with running around with a log over your head
jj125- lol thats why you are supposed to keep your feet shoulder width apart. your feet end up outside of your hands, not in between. you always want to keep you head down cause that keeps the spine neutral. neutral spine always!
Andrew- no password, just ESP. do your video- we will have a burpee off!
Oh She Glows- no problem!
tfh- mr belcher? thats unfortunate. I think people with weird names automatically become teachers. my second grade teacher was named Mrs. Greecher. Greecher the teacher. theres no way that was a coincidence
I remember those from PE class! Ack!
I love that you call these burpees like my seventh grade gym teacher :)
I hate burpees. Blech.
Must.do.burpees…tomorrow…maybe…(I feel the pain already…)
hmmm, i’ll have to give it a try :)
Hey Kelly,
I tried these for the first time today. I have to say: You make them look easy!!! :oD
I only did 10 but I’ll build up, I’m sure. I have a few extra pounds that get in the way of my aerodynamic…..lol
I tried your moving plank too – awesome!
Thanks for your video tutorials, they are really helpful and get you out of just doing the normal kind of stuff :o)
Tusc :o)
