Great video!
I have gone to machines so many times at the gym, looked at them, poked them, and then shuffled away. I would not have had a clue what this thing even was. Thanks for the explanation!
Hey Kelly thanks for the video! I need your help though! I just joined a new gym so I don’t work out with anyone anymore and I’m having such a hard time doing abs by myself. It’s just so boring! So I challanged my boyfriend to see who of us could get a six pack first. Haha. We’re both starting from about the same place and I do gain muscle very fast for a girl but I know I’m still up against some tough competition! I need the toughest most effective ab exercises you’ve got so I can show him up! lol. Thanks Kelly!!
You’re so cute. LOVE the new video!
Megan- glad you liked it!
Sagan- i do it constantly. I THINK I know how to work it, I walk up, stare at it and turn around and walk away. THE WALK OF SHAME.
zoe- I emailed you, but I think I have something that will help you in tomorrows video!
FBG- I hate watching myself- i feel like a goon. all I can think is “why do i talk out the side of my mouth like that?”
Work it, Kelly!
you didn’t wipe off the machine!!!
hahahaha
Love the video!
So I hate having weights on my shoulders; always do the sitting down kind of leg press. But I didn’t know that some machines that look like shoulder machines actually convert to the ‘good’ kind.
Thanks for the instructional video!
Cool – the first video!! Very well done Kelly! And…I’m not intimidated at all…you’ve demonstrated the leg press very nicely!
Great video! I actually love that machine!!
PS: I want your arms…they’re so toned!
Look at you, adding a little production value into the mix!! Hahaha, nice job
All the Best,
Andrew R
I’m really enjoying these videos, I’ve “faked it to make it” through the gym, but have always wanted this type to instruction. Much appreciated!
you are too cute Kelly!!
and it sounds like your voice is gone (still?)….FEEL BETTERRRRRRRR LADY!
I mean this to be helpful.
I think you would do will to avoid the hack squat/leg press all together.
Learn to to barbell back squats.
Learn correctly, go deep (well bellow parallel) and maintain your back arch.
It will benefit you MUCH more than machines. That said, I’ve seen a great many trainers who don’t know how to squat correctly, so make sure the person teaching you knows what they’re doing.
chris- like i said in the video- we rarely use it. isolated muscle machines and I are not friends. why work something isolated when you can work so many other muscles at the same time. Ive done other posts on functional training as well, and how machines arent the best route.
Kelly – apologies for the inane post in that case. I posted my previous comment when I was only half paying attention after a long day.
