Have you heard of Glenda Watson Hyatt? No? Well you are missing out on some amazing stuff. Glenda is an amazing and inspiring person and blogger. Who is not only Canadian, but lives in BC too! Yep we’re lucky out here aren’t we.
Regardless Glenda as participating in the blog for a year contest–the idea being if she garnered enough votes, Glenda would be paid to blog for a year. Nice. Well Glenda came really close, she picked up third place over all, but better yet–she picked up a blogging gig too!
The votes are in and tallied:
- In third place, with 11,752 votes, is moi!
- In second place, with 18,252 votes, is Melanie in Orygun
- And the winner, with is Absolutely True. Congratulations!
It was a great experience and I learned a lot about using social media for this purpose. (Hillary, Obama, contact me! It’s not too late.)
However, Absolutely True isn’t the only one to be offered a blogging contract. In December I was offered a contract to blog 1-3 posts per week at Disaboom. I joined the problogging league last week! Hope you’ll join me there. I will also continue blogging here, giving my thumb a thorough workout!

Glenda has already started writing a Disaboom. I don’t know which of these posts I like better–Finding Creative Workarounds within Arbitrary Limitations–or–her reflections on 2007. Regardless, welcome to ranks to the pro-blogging club, Glenda. You’re a very welcome addition!
Hmm, maybe we need jackets or something. Maybe stickers for our laptops–Canadian Pro Blogger Club?

Where have I been to have missed this? OK so I’m a little behind in reading feeds.
Congrats to Glenda who did a guest stop at my blog http://www.artsyasylum.com last year and is a real inspiration. And thanks to you Tris for passing on the news!
Speaking of another inspiring blogger…
You’re very welcome Susan! Thanks for stopping by.
Congratulations Susan. Canadians Kick Butt!
I’m kinda partial to the jackets idea myself Tris. Maybe Tim H insignias on the shoulders? ;-)
