Golden Pencil, b5 and the Business Channel

Way back when, this blog became part of b5’s Arts and Design channel, there were a several other blogs there about writing. It was a logical choice at the time.
Of course, things change as they always do and it became obvious that this blog, which is really aimed at the business of freelance writing belonged in b5’s business channel – and here we are.
Turns out one of the things we do in this channel is have a monthly theme day. The theme for October is fear. Well, that’s not exactly right or maybe it is, but the upshot is each blogger in the channel has written something about fear and business.
Each entry is listed, linked and summarized at Small Business Boomers. It’s interesting and worthwhile to peruse them. Every single one applies to freelance writers, even though the blogs are dealing with some other business than writing.
Take a look, for example, at 10 Bloggo-Fears That Go Bump in the Night and How to Make Them Worse – these don’t apply to just bloggers. Or Workboxers reminder of how fragile liberty really is. Or Pimp Your Work’s comments on productivity.
Lot’s of food for thought and writing here.
