Good bye NewsAlloy

NewsAlloy has shut down: As of April 29 it was shutting down. This is confirmed in the blog entry of the same date. Read it here. according to the final (?) blog post it seemed that the project was not attracting investors to the enterprise. Now I have never used NewsAlloy but based on their statistics there seems to be a healthy amount of interest for their site. Again, unfortunately these were not the ones who were willing to invest.

I am in no position to analyze what happened with NewsAlloy nor would I want to but it does point to one thing though. Despite the increase use of RSS feeds , in whatever manner or form, it is still a tough race out there. Darwinian in fact.
