I failed to come up with a question for my theme this month of Tough Questions? Great Answers! for today. I realized that I didn’t choose one in the middle of my day today at a Trade Show.
So, when I sat down tonight to figure out what I would write about, I had no starting place. I decided to go out and see what others were writing about. I also began to think about what it would take to take Interview Chatter to another level. I didn’t get answer about that one yet, but I came up with some good stuff to share with you.
I found out there are some great posts that would help anyone in the market for a job today. I decided to share some of my favorite blogs/posts I found on my journey this evening. Take a minute and read some of my recommendations! All of these post will provoke you to think about what you are doing and maybe what you really want to do.
Here are my top 3 posts I enjoyed tonight – Enjoy!
1. Work and Joy, Joy and Work. Here is a taste from this post found at Live the Power. Click the link and read the whole thing. “True Joy in your work does not come from the money you make. Joy comes from work that you look forward to doing everyday. Joy comes from work that can keep you awake at night with anticipation and excitement. Joy comes from work that feels so much like play that you are excited to get up in the morning. When you are passionate and happy about your work the time you spend is happy, joyful and complete. Your work is fun and enjoyable, rewarding and life affirming.”
2. How About a Braided Career? This is a must read – read this post and the comments. It is well worth the time. And then decide for yourself. What is it that you truely want to do in this moment on your life’s journey? Go check out Penelope Trunk’s blog – Excellent Advice at the intersection of your career.
3. How to Identify What You Really Want? There is an excellent list of things for you to write down to help you determine what your really want in your life. As the author, Edith Yeung states, “We are in control of our life.” We really are. I dare you to try her recommendations for identifying what you really want.
Feel free to leave a comment!
