Goodbye Windows Vista Family Discount

For those of you looking at purchasing additional Home Premium licenses for just $50 after your first full priced purchase; Microsoft is discontinuing its Windows Vista Family Discount.

Around the time of the Windows Vista launch we announced the Windows Vista Family Discount Program to further persuade families to become early adopters of Windows Vista. The program was introduced with a sunset clause that takes effect 11:59 PM Pacific Time on 30 June 2007. We’ve been pleased with the response to the program, which has enabled thousands of multi-computer families to upgrade more than one PC in their home to Windows Vista.

Thanks to the Microsoft SCAM called a ‘Launch Event’ where they give away software that will not allow updates – “here is your free copy of Windows Ultimate” – everyone who attended, got a copy of Ultimate and loaded it now has to go out and BUY a copy just to get updates!!!! Nice rip-off Microsoft. Ranks right up there with the so-called ‘family purchase’.
