I love how Google dropped the $200/mo pricetag (i think it was that much) and finally decided to offer such a great service for free. However, I seem to share the same opinion as Nick over at Performancing regarding Analytics not bringing too much to the table. I'm more interested about MeasureMap to be honest.

I’ve signed up but the website is running S L O W!
I wonder if this spells the end for things like StatCounter and even Mint for that matter?
I’ll be waiting the obligatory 24 hours before investigating it further, specifically the “Goal tracking”.

I just signed up for it it says:

Your first reports will be ready within twelve hours

Which leads me to believe that’s for the first reports, not all the reports. Analytic apps that use javascript are usually intantaneous (I.E. WebCEO), but I guess we’ll only find out by using it.

I wouldn’t say there wouldn’t be a point in using it if its not instantaneous. After taking a glance at the interface it looks like it provides alot more than any free analytics program I’ve ever seen. Let’s say there is a delay. It would be like an analytics program running off the log files. I wouldn’t care if this took 24-48 hours to report, It’s free and provides a lot of info I wouldn’t get from any other free app.
