Google Associating non-WWW with WWW

Google keeps improving their great Google Webmaster Central tool and are now allowing site owners to select a “preferred domain” by associating the non-WWW version of a domain with the WWW version (or vice versa).

This has been a problem with search engines for years as they see the two as two separate domains, therefore, may hurt authority, pr, ibls and more.

With all the new improvements with this webmaster tool, some are still keeping their domains out of it. I will soon post a writeup on the ins-and-outs of using it.
