Google Gets Sued

Who said that Google Inc. was so huge that people could not touch it?

Well, that is not exactly true for the company has just been sued by an advertiser a couple of days back in federal court. The advertiser, David Almeida, mentioned that Google was deceiving for it charged him for ads (through the AdSense program) that were not exactly put on display because he had left the optional box blank. Google was said to be deceiving advertisers through “redefining the universally understood meaning of an input form left blank” thus Google was able to bring in millions of dollars in total.

Google currently says that they have not yet received the complaint. Almeida though should have put in a zero if he didn’t want to be charged for ads he didn’t want to run. Brian Kabateck is Almeida’s attorney and he said, “Most of the customers that actually fall victim to this scam are the unsophisticated advertisers. The sophisticated advertisers will know better, will know how to do it. These are the little guys that don’t have money to lose on a program like this.”
