Opened Techmeme this morning to find the hot headline: Email On-the-Go Now Even Easier — Google Launches New Mobile Application for Speedier Access to Gmail
As a heavy user of Gmail on my Blackberry, remember I filter my messages and read a lot of my mail in Gmail through the browser, I jumped on this right away. I quickly grabbed my Berry and loaded it right up. Holey smokes is it cool! It’s just like Gmail in your browser! The collapsible threads, marking spam, and it’s fast.
From reading Oliver’s post on MobileCrunch, users of some Nokia phones might have to jump through some hoops, but a comment from a Treo user said it worked nicely.
You can even see the app running on my Berry here. Yeah this is going to improve my on the road productivity tremendously.

Hi guys…

gmail is fine on adsl, but on my 3g card i can surf net no problem, talk on google talk no problem, but i cannot reply to any gmail mail. also cannot compose and send attachments. can recieve mail fine.
thought it was my beta firefox im using so tried IE but still same problem.
sometimes can reply to a mail but not always, especially if there is an attachment in it…
but gmail is fine on adsl so i know its not gmail themselves. 2 friends have also complained about their gmail on 3g today..
HuLsH … I got that error a couple times, I think it’s a provider thing. I don’t know. Some people are giving it the thumbs down, it seems a lot of the problems are on hardware and provider sides.
Reece, I haven’t heard of any problems, but I’ll keep an eye out. Are your friends also on the same provider? Maybe there is some strange port or protocal blocking going on. I know I can’t visit all websites on my Blackberry (but I can securely log into my bank, which is cool).
