Google Turns 7.0

Google turns 7 today. It’s amazing, looking back, how this “little engine that could” has turned into the behemoth leader in the world of search and much more. I remember the first time I heard of Google. My mother, of all people, told me she used this search engine called “google” and that it was her home page. I fired up her computer and tried some searches. I was amazed by the results and the fact that any site could be useful without a portal (i.e. Yahoo, Excite, Altavista).

That was 1998. This is now. When did you first here about or use Google?
