Google Wins Suit Over Google Suggest Results

Google suggest has been criticized more than once on the results it shows. From “hate” related terms to software cracks many have wondered over the times if Google should intervene and dis-allow certain terms from appearing.

ServersCheck, a Belgian firm which manufactures network monitoring software decided to put Google suggest to a test and sued Google over the fact that Google suggest was “suggesting” people with cracks, serials and keygens. Apparently, The Commercial Court in Leuven, Belgium did not find this reason sufficient and ruled that Google did not facilitate illegal activity through Google Suggest.

On a side note, when searching for ServersCheck this morning on Google Suggest I was only “suggested” with the terms “ServersCheck”, “ServersCheck monitoring” and “ServersCheck keygen”.
