Google’s Mistake or Evil Mind?

Google’s Toolbar had recently come out of beta, but was obviously not tested enough (or was it?).

The toolbar has a bug in this new “feature” that keeps the blocking service running in memory — even after it has been disabled and in a way blocks any attempt to change the default search engine to any of it’s competitors…

To their defence Google said that “that behaviour is not expected, and the service doesn’t do anything while in this state.” but then again, is it really?
