Google’s Top Searched in 2006

Social Networking, Web 2.0 and Software Piracy were in the top Google searches for 2006. With Bebo and Myspace holding the top 2 spots, most other spots dominated by web 2.0 developments, such as video site Metacafe, music streaming service Radioblog and encyclopaedia Wikipedia.

Two other terms which require attention is Video at number 7 and reflect the rise in popularity of sites such as YouTube and the different knockoffs. Even more importantly, at number 9 you’ll see Mininova which is a popular filesharing site, and I wouldn’t be pushing it if I said that majoliry of the files traded via that source are traded illegally…
