Gosling
Calgary-native James Gosling, who invented the Java programming language in 1994, has been appointed to the Order of Canada, which recognizes the contributions made by Canadians in all walks of life who make a major difference to Canada. Source: CBC.com. I got a chance to interview Gosling, a vice-president with Sun Microsystems, a few years ago. To say the least, it was a challenging interview given he’s a very smart person who has more knowledge about the high-tech industry in his baby finger than I have in my entire body!
