Gouken in Street Fighter IV?

The new anime trailer for Street Fighter IV features Gouken, the master of Ryu and Ken. Note that it is not April 1st.
Gouken has never appeared in any Street Fighter game before, but his legend has inspired fanmade versions in the Mugen fighting game engine. Here’s one version beating up characters from Street Fighter III. If Capcom does in fact put Gouken in SF4, then they’d be very much listening to fan demand.

Sure, the old sensei looks a bit rotund due to his advanced age, but don’t let him hear you say that. His uppercut can send a whole waterfall flying.
We all thought Akuma killed his brother Gouken long before the start of the series — until now. We’ve waited sixteen years for this. Hey, if Bison can come back from being killed by Akuma, why not Gouken? Despite Akuma’s much-vaunted murderous intent, his victims apparently don’t stay dead.

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] If you’re an older male gamer-cosplayer with big arms and a bit of a belly, then this character will be perfect for you. Gouken might be in Street Fighter IV. [...]

[...] No Gouken yet, though. Capcom is teasing us. [...]
