Government’s Hope Now Alliance Not Working Against Housing Crisis
Treasury Announces New Plan – Panic Now Alliance
The Hope Now Alliance, a program formed by Treasury Secretary Paulson and Housing Secretary Jackson, was formed back in October in reaction to the ongoing wave of foreclosures in the housing market.
The plan was designed to link banks, mortgage companies and government in an effort to make one central unresponsive bureaucracy.
The Alliance has done little to stop the breakneck pace of foreclosures but has reported numerous successes in hand-wringing and placing customers on hold.
