The final round of the Travelers Championship is shaping up to be a dogfight after a number of players held the lead during Saturday’s third round. Eventually Paul Goydos ended up atop the leaderboard, thanks to five birdies on the back nine, leaving him at 16-under for the tournament. Kenny Perry, the leader after the first two rounds, sits one stroke back at 15-under.

Perry birdied the 12th and 13th to increase his lead to three strokes, but faltered at 14 to give a stroke back. This opened the door for Goydos, who began his run of four straight birdies on the par-5 13th. After waiting out a rain delay, both Goydos and Perry parred in, with Perry missing a 10 footer on the 18th that would’ve given him a tie for the lead.
Former PGA Championship winner David Toms sits all alone in third place at 14-under. John Merrick, who actually had the lead in the third round, and Casey Wittenberg are three strokes back of Goydos. U.S. Open champ Lucas Glover finds himself seven strokes back of the leader heading into Sunday’s final round.
