We are not the PowerPuff Girls.
MMORPGs just keep churning out from different developers just like hamburgers dishing out from McDonald’s at insane speed. Another fantasy-based adventure online game, Grand Chase (not a new game but new in Singapore), has just got into Open Beta. The game’s target audience is young teenagers or tweens or adults who have not grown up.
Grand Chase is a Free-To-Play 3D-rendered fantasy adventure online game. Featuring anime-inspired characters set against a colorful, medieval backdrop, Grand Chase puts players in the role of Bermesiah elite troopers on the mission to chase KazeAaze, the Queen of Darkness.
There are Game Masters are doing their rounds 24/7 catching cyber predators, hackers and other suspicious characters. All these efforts are to ensure the game is safe for children, so that parents can feel safe and in turn, can give their children money for microtransactions (although the game is Free at first).
Instead of 2D Maple-like figures, you can have the luxury of 3D environment. This may make it into a 3D Maple Story. But…
A party platter of game modes, Grand Chase also features Player versus Monster (PvM) battles, Player versus Player (PvP) death matches, challenging quests and light-hearted mini games. The game’s real-time attacks and combo skill executions will stir fans of old school arcade games, while its endearing avatar designs and customizations will thrill anime lovers and young gamers.
MMOs are getting more sophisticated, even it’s getting more childish.
