Great Blog Off Tip #2: Cancel Magazine Subscriptions

Be honest: Do you really read all of the publications that come to your home or office every week or month? I know I don’t! Take stock of your subscriptions and see which ones you can cancel without feeling totally deprived. For me, it was The New Yorker. I love it, but I just do not have time to read the whole thing every week. Which means I save it. Which means massive piles of The New Yorker all over my house. Which means I start to resent one of my favorite publications, and I don’t like that.
Now that I’ve canceled it, I LOVE to come across recent issues in waiting rooms, or to treat myself to one from the bookstore when I know I’ll have extra time one week to savor it.
What one magazine subscription will you never cancel? Leave a comment!

is there a site where I can cancel all catalogs from coming to my house every week in the snail mail?
Bridget, there are several. The one I’ve used is http://www.catalogchoice.org/
My unwanted catalogs have decreased DRAMATICALLY since I signed up.
Thank you so much! This site has been very helpful.
