Great News For 80 Million Unbankable People In The US

Ok, so there are some 80 million people in the US who don’t have bank accounts or credit cards. How do they shop online? Digital currency or prepaid cards. Here is good news for those with prepaid Visa cards.

Visa USA has announced it will be introducing Visa ReadyLink into some 5,300+ 7-11 stores in the US. 7-11 is the world’s largest convenience store chain. This service will allow any consumer to add funds to his prepaid Visa reloadable card using a cash payment. This will be a major convenience for those unbankable millions.

Visa ReadyLink also enables Visa and its member financial institutions to further meet the needs of “underserved” consumers. According to Visa estimates, there are approximately 80 million underserved consumers in the U.S. – those who lack access to a payment card or are without a traditional banking relationship. *Paymentsnews.com/

The real challenge will come when a digital currency partners with brick and mortar locations to accept cash loading of an online account.

Hi Mark, I keep finding myself coming back to your blog. That’s a good thing. Everything about this blog looks really great, from every post to layout, and then I come across one of your advertisers. “Push The Fart Button – you know you want to”

Why is this ad on this blog? Makes no sense, cause I’m not going to push the FART Button! ;)
