Greed is Good, especially 1.1.11

Greed is good especially when it resides on your Android and has been updated to version 1.1.11. The greed I am talking about is the application for Android phones which reads through Google reader. The latest version is said to be better than the actual Google reader that is deployed online – Google Reader. The bigger feature of Greed is its ability to cache your feeds on the SD card that can be viewed at a later time. Simply put, Greed gives you the ability for offline Google reading. Aside from this, Greed also gives you the power to subscribe to podcasts feeds and download the files which you can view via your media player. Greed is really, really good.

The latest update was done on October 27 and has the following enhancements:

1. Click to toggle – The star, share, like, notify and cache attributes found on the “Feed and Article lists”, can be toggled on and off. This can be done by clicking on the individual icons under the items’ titles. Aside from directly clicking on individual items, you can also choose to do long-pressing an item and using the context menu for it.

2. Like/unlike support: The new Greed now supports the “like this” feature that is found on the web-based version of Google Reader. Whenever you’ve marked an article a little square smiley icon indicates is shown on the item.

3. Layout Changes: The major changes in the layout are under the hood which improves and lowers memory consumption. Also, the fonts are now compatible on WVGA resolutions.

4. Zoom Controls: The article viewer can now be zoomed via zoom controls.

5. Donut-specific Force-close issue: There was a previous issues on the Greed where it closes feed list of folder list, it is now fixed on this release.

Greed previously is very good, and now its even better. You can get greed via fognl.
