Green Day Releasing “21st Century Breakdown”

The eagerly awaited eight album from trio, Green Day, becomes available on May 15, 2009.  You can still pre-order a copy of 21st Century Breakdown but since it’s just a couple days away, I’d wait and pick one up at the store so you can have it right away!

I’m sure the boys have come up with some excellent music but it’s going to be tough to top their 2004 success with American Idiot which earned them two Grammy Awards and debuted at #1 on Billboard.  The album spawned five hit singles and sold 12 million copies.  That’s huge!

From what I’ve read so far, 21st Century Breakdown follows the story of a young couple named Christian and Gloria as they try to make their way through this century so far.  It’s divided into three acts: “Heroes and Cons,” “Charlatans and Saints,” and “Horseshoes and Handgrenades.”
