Green Travel – Finding Tickets

Traveling for business or pleasure isn’t exactly green, but sometimes it can’t be avoided. If you must fly, book a hotel room, or rent a car, consider doing so through Search Green Travel. This free tool is great for finding cheap flights and being kind to the environment.

Search Green Travel works exactly as other travel sites, like Cheap Tickets or Priceline, work. The tickets themselves are any different (though you should do your research and purchase from companies that are committed to going as green as possible). How is this green, then?

Well, you’ll notice that, unlike other travel websites, there are a number of advertisements on Search Green Travel and their eco-blog, Go Green Travel Green. The founders have committed to donate 50% of ad revenue to environmental charities. Some of the non-profits they support include EcoLogic Development Fund, Global Green USA, Seacology, Alliance for Global Justice, and Fauna & Flora International.

Head to their website to support this cause. The tickets and reservations are the same, but you’ll be contributing slightly to important green causes.
