Grey’s Anatomy: The Video Game

My first thought when I heard about Grey’s Anatomy: The Video Game (available on Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PC) was why? Why
did they make a video game for this show? I even wondered if there would be points awarded for the number of random hook ups and love triangles you could get your character into.
Anyway, in the game, you will have to help Seattle Grace Hospital get through one of the worst crises in the medical center’s history. Ubisoft paired up with the show’s actual production team and writers to create the game’s storyline but (no surprises here!) none of the actors provided the voices for their characters. I hate when actors do that.
Aside from the allure of playing as Meredith, Derek, Cristina and more (without the benefit of their real voices, of course), you be
able to use your Wii Remote, Nintendo DS stylus or PC mouse “to perform multi-step surgeries as you tackle life or death situations in the operating room.” I’ve read, however, that there are really not enough of these surgical opportunities and too many of the random mini-games that have nothing to do with the game’s storyline.
Can I also complain for a second about these graphics? I know it’s based on a television show and may not have the best budget but I think the people look pretty cheesy. Check out these screenshots and judge for yourself.
I doubt very highly that I will be putting up a full review of the game since I have absolutely no desire to play but, if you’ve played it and want to let me know what you thought, leave me a comment!
