Groople.com, the popular online service that allows groups to book and share travel plans, announced on Sunday the launching of GroopleGives.com. The company says that GroopleGives will help community groups across the United States acquire the funding they need to travel.
At GroopleGives, community groups can tell their story and Groople will select the best applicants and pitch in $10,000 towards their travel costs.
“A new set of American values is emerging from this economy,” said Groople’s CEO, Mike Stacy. “People across the nation are embracing family and community and asking how they can help others, not just themselves. We want to help them do it, while inspiring more groups to do the same.”
The stories of the winners will be seen on GroopleGives.com and could also appear on social networking sites such as Facebook and YouTube. Currently, Groople says that this campaign will run through at least July 1st.
