Gross beat

SO, just came from my local 1/2 game. Bought for a hundred doubled up in the first hour off a donk betting every hand and stood with my pair of fives on the flop to put him all in on the flush draw. Won.

Then got into another hand about 30 minutes later. Big blind in a straddled pot. Pocket deuces. Call the straddle and the straddle checks.

Flop is 7 7 2. The first player (not the straddle) bets $10 (roughly the pot). I reraise to $25, knowing he’s going to call because he plays every pot to the end.

Player in the straddle goes all in for about $170. Sweet. He has a seven, obviously. The original bettor, of course, calls, probably with Ace high.

I call the all in. It’s about a $460 pot. Straddle turns over K7. He’s drawing to 3 outs, plus the 3 outs he’ll pick up on the turn if it is a new card.

Turn is a J.

River is a K.

The straddle claps his hands and says, Ship it.

Boy.

Can I win my own bad beat contest?

I was the straddler what could i do with a set with a king kicker? i had just seen blake make the same play on the same guy with a pair of fives for a big pot. i thought it was the same thing and he didnt account for me. i never put him on ducks and blake knows i dont play king seven off suit. but it was a bad beat sorry dude.
