Guide to Choosing a Processor

I am reading this article from PC Pitstop about a beginner’s guide on choosing your own computing processor.

While I am not geeky about processors, it was good to learn about processor architecture and front side bus. Learning about the various Intel family would help me in my next purchase of a computer.
One of the things discussed is the fact that dual core processors doesn’t make computing faster. The author described dual core as having two lanes where a car would not automatically become faster just because there is more than one lane.
