Guides to Getting Started With WordPress

I’m very used to people who use WordPress telling me it was easy to install and it’s easy to use. I know also that some of us have not found it so easy.

So I’m always on the lookout for guides that require no prior technical knowledge, showing how to set up and use a WordPress blog.

Darren Rowse had a post on this some time ago, Introduction to WordPress Resources, inviting readers to contribute suggestions on  “a good free and easy to comprehend Introduction to Using WordPress that talks beginners through the basics of things” and there are various suggestions in the comments on that post.

One introduction which I’ve found very clear and helpful is Michael Pollock’s Video Introduction to WordPress.

Tim Ziegler also has a very clear introduction in his extended post, Get Your Feet Wet With WordPress.
